Çimentaş has once again strongly demonstrated its pioneering and exemplary role in the industry by winning three awards in different categories at the “Value Creators in Occupational Health and Safety Awards” organized by the Turkish Employers’ Association of the Cement Industry (ÇEİS) — one of the most prestigious recognitions in the field of occupational health and safety. This significant success stands as tangible evidence that Çimentaş’s sustainable approach, which places the safety, health, and well-being of its employees at the center, is highly appreciated not only within the company but also across the entire sector.
Among the three different categories in which awards were received are the “Grand Award in Memory of Fatih Yücelik”, recognized as the most valuable award of the year, the First Prize in the “Value Creators in Occupational Health and Safety through Digital Solutions” category, and the Second Prize in the “Value Creators in Health” category.
• Grand Award in Memory of Fatih Yücelik: The “Safety at Work / Process Safety Project” implemented at the Çimentaş Elazığ Plant was granted this award for its innovative approach that strengthens operational safety and process standards through digitalization.
• First Prize – Value Creators in Occupational Health and Safety through Digital Solutions: The same “Safety at Work / Process Safety Project” at the Elazığ Plant was awarded as a best-practice example for adding value to occupational health and safety through digital applications.
• Second Prize – Value Creators in Health: The “Bize Değer (WeCare) Project” stood out as a comprehensive program implemented across all Çimentaş locations, supporting the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being of employees and their families with a holistic approach.
The awarded projects aim to integrate occupational health and safety culture into all processes, manage risks with a preventive approach, and ensure systematic safety at every stage. Particularly, the “Safety at Work / Process Safety Project” elevates safety standards by utilizing the advantages of digitalization in production processes, while the “Bize Değer (WeCare) Project” draws attention as an innovative well-being program focused on enhancing employees’ quality of life.
